As we approach Resurrection Sunday, we want to invite you to participate in a special Easter worship project. COVID-19 has caused calamity, chaos, destruction, fear, anxiety, and panic across the globe. We invite you gather together (but apart) in movement as a prophetic declaration of God's resurrection power to redeem and restore... Let us dance upon injustice this Easter.
How to participate
Please submit videos based off of one of the following prompts:
1) Dance it out! Dance is just movement by another name. Anyone can do it, whether you think you "can" or not. We even picked out the song for you (linked below). Your dance can look like - your best happy dance - shake it off and get the wiggles out - a deep breath while standing tall - a choreographed ditty - walking, standing, jumping in a wild or organized manner - any authentic expression of worship
Still not convinced? That's okay.
2) You can also record a video of yourself reading a preselected passage of scripture (see below). It can be recorded on a phone or your laptop, just double check the sound quality before sending it in. We just need to be able to understand the words.
Lastly,
3) You can show us how you are dealing with the current circumstances. Are you painting? Walking around your neighborhood? Having quality family time? Cuddling your animals? Take us with you and film it! We want to see how God is redeeming this time.
You're ready to submit!
Just remember these last few things:
Film in landscape orientation.
If you're reading, double check the sound.
Keep it under a minute long.
Your participation is voluntary, please understand that your video might show up on our socials.
Be authentic. This is worship! Don't worry about it being "just right."
You can share your video file through google docs or email : anya@tempevineyard.com Please send in submissions by May 1st.
The Scripture:
"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD shines over you. For look, darkness covers the earth, and total darkness the peoples; but the LORD will shine over you, and His glory will appear over you. Nations will come to you light, and kings to the brightness of your radiance. . "Violence will never again be heard of in your land; devastation and destruction will be gone from your borders. But you will name your walls salvation and your gates, praise. The sun will no longer be your light by day, and the brightness of the moon will not shine on you; but the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your splendor. Your sun will no longer set, and your moon will not fade; for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and the days of your sorrow will be over."
